“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots”, Marcus Garvey.
On the 21st of April, the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing hosted its 7th cultural festival, and I had the pleasure of attending as a guest of some South African friends. International students from over 50 different countries displayed their local cuisine, culture, artefacts and much more through an assortment of aesthetically pleasing booths and performances. Students from all corners of the world came together to make this a very colourful, exciting, and memorable event! That said, the pictures should speak for themselves.
